Banish Warts with Banana Peel
Warts are small, usually painless growths on the skin. Other than affecting your appearance (and being embarassing) they may also itch or even hurt.
Luckily, most warts are harmless and also extremely susceptible to home remedies. Many such remedies have been developed for this common condition but a favorite one is readily available at any grocery store.
Buy and peel a fresh banana, one that has just turned yellow so it’s not overripe and tape a small piece of the banana peel (with the fleshy side towards the skin) over the wart at bedtime. Leave it on overnight. Alternatively you can also just rub the inside of the peel over the wart instead of leaving it on.
Some people report that warts given this treatment daily disappear within a few weeks or for some within days.
It is thought that the high potassium content in the banana peel burns away the wart layer by layer, without damaging healthy skin or causing scars.
This treatment has been recommended to many people with warts. One such person had two warts on the side of his chest after clearing his skin of eczema and the warts disappeared with the banana treatment in just three days. Another person bandaged the banana skin each night to a wart on her hand and it took two weeks to disappear.
It’s seemingly miraculous because when you’ve been blighted with warts and tried many treatments this is such a painless, and easy way to remove warts with banana peel… it is practically free!
